How long have you been in business?
Opened March 4th, 2001 during the Winter Special Olympics. Quickly grew to a 7 day year round operation focusing on nightly dinner and weekend brunch. Awarded best new restaurant name for South Central Alaska by the Anchorage Daily News. Outdoor deck was enclosed in 2005 to create a two story solarium. New outdoor deck added in 2007 facing southern exposure. Chef named one of Best in America 2013. Chef awarded James Beard nomination for best chef in the Pacific Northwest.
What is your primary product or service?
Full Service Casual Fine Dining Restaurant. Weekend Brunch, Dinner Nightly, Beer & Wine.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
Started working in kitchens during high school in Michigan. Frans received a degree in Hospitality Business from Michigan State University. Jen is a graduate from the same school with Business Administration.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
First to focus on fresh produce in the area. First to have a menu with half of the items vegetarian or vegan. First to introduce organic ingredients in Girdwood, Alaska.

Girdwood: 40 miles southeast of Anchorage or 91 miles north of Seward. From the Seward Highway, turn onto Alyeska Highway. Drive approximately 3 miles until you reach a "T" in the road and you will see the large Alyeska Resort sign. Turn left. First right is Olympic Mountain Loop. Jack Sprat is the first building on your left. 165 Olympic Mtn Loop.
