PNA's mission, "We educate students to be exceptional learners and independent thinkers of vision, courage, and integrity," infuses and informs our culture. We recognize that our teachers are our greatest asset; they are unified in purpose yet autonomous in sharing their passion in the classroom. PNA is committed to small class size, limiting them to 18 students. PNA is a distinctly Alaskan school, focusing both on our local environment and the global perspective. PNA recognizes that we live in a fast-changing world, where the students of today will be tackling problems in the future that have not yet been identified and seeking professions that have not yet been created.
Our program is based on 21st Century skills of critical thinking, creativity, communication, and collaboration, which provide our students with the wherewithal to tackle anything and everything they choose to pursue.

How long have you been in business?
PNA was started in 1996.
What is your primary product or service?
PNA is an independent, non-sectarian day school for children ages three through 8th grade.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
Pacific Northern Academy is a non-sectarian, independent day school that teaches with project-based learning methods. Our core academics are rigorous and our specialist classes of studio art, performing arts, Spanish and PE round out the education of each student at PNA.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
One location in Anchorage.
Provide detailed directions to your location
We are located at the corner of Lake Otis Parkway and Abbott Road in South Anchorage, in the blue half of the building. We are a tenant of Abbott Loop Community Church, but we do not have a religious affiliation with any church.
What type of payments do you accept?
We accept cash, checks, and credit cards.

PNA is a non-profit school governed by the Board of Directors.
What are your hours of operation?
School begins at 8:30am and ends at 3:15pm. The office is open from 8:00am - 5:00pm.
What is the best compliment anyone can give you?
People often tell us our students are well-spoken, intelligent young people who are not afraid to try new ideas and often think "outside the box."
