How long have you been in business?
Qupqugiaq Inn started over 23 years ago. Originally it was designed and motivated to be a spiritual education center . Exploring the many depths of enlightenment and meaning. We opened Q cafe and a few rooms to help out with expenses but when people started showing interest in staying with us we opened more rooms . Qupqugiaq went through many transformations . Becoming Qupqugiaq B & B , and then Qupqugiaq Inn. We have over 24 rooms and are building now another additional 9 rooms and 6 pods to our establishment.
What is your primary product or service?
Our goal in operating Qupqugiaq Inn is to express, in the ways that we can, our vision of the kind of world we want to live in. It is a place in which human interactions are prior to economic ones. It is a human-scale, thoughtful, and ecologically responsible place where independent travelers can be inspired and get organized for their explorations of Alaska. How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
. We have been working hard with not just Qupqugiaq Inn but with People In Need Partnership, and getting Visionary Started soon.. From the spiral hallways, to the curves , Art work , and wood work to meeting amazing travelers each and every day.Qupqugiaq Inn is compelling and meaningful action. That's why we love being here. Its what Qupqugiaq is about and stands for that captivates the soul. We never heard of a Hotel, Inn, B&B or Motel for that matter that has "Conscious" travel on not only their sign or implicated in their establishment. It is hard when traveling to a new place like Alaska to find a economically responsible place to stay with a unique vision as Qupqugiaq Inn . Meeting people from all around the world and sharing a moment of spiritual enlightenment is well worth staying a night or a few days.

Qupqugiaq is different than any other Hotel , Inn or B&B because we want to express, in the ways that we can, our vision of the kind of world we want to live in.

We are 2.5 miles from the Airport and downtown Anchorage . Located in (The Heart of Anchorage)
From The Airport.
Head Southeast , Continue straight onto W International Airport Rd , turn left onto Spenard Rd ,
Turn right onto W 36th Ave .Turn right onto Springer St . Park in the back side of the building, and there is a door right in back . We do not offer shuttle services but from the airport to our establishment it is only $12-15 .

We service conscious awareness travelers . We are an Inn , not like any Inn or Hotel ever experienced before and we are unique with so many wonderful rooms . Much more than just an affordable hotel -- our guests enjoy a truly special experience with interiors that boast. Each one of our rooms has a theme from a third world country.

What are your hours of operation?
We are open daily from 10 am to 2 am the following morning. Every day, including holidays.
What is the best compliment anyone can give you?
Thank you for the wonderful room , it was so comfortable staying at your place. It was the best sleep we ever had, and we feel that we are spending our earned income wisely by staying at Qupqugiaq Inn knowing that it is going towards a greater vision.
